Fidelity

During our 'heatwave' this autumn, I spent a Friday afternoon around Amble Harbour. An unusually warm breeze slowed the pace of work giving the crew of the trawler 'Fidelity' time to talk and smile.

Amble has Northumberlands largest fishing fleet, but Northumbrian fleets are facing severe difficulty. Many trawlermen feel that the industry is not sustainable under the current regulations. raising genuine heartfelt concerns relating to the sustainability of communities dependant on this type of work.
